In the 17th century, the Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon served as cellarer at the Abbey of Hautvillers, where he devoted nearly fifty years to the vine and the cellar.
Through the rigor of his blending work and mastery of cuvées, he laid the foundations of the Champagne method and permanently inscribed his name in the history of wine.
This legend, perpetuated by Maison Moët & Chandon, now shines in the finest places of French art de vivre.
The itinerary
Private guided tour of Notre-Dame Cathedral of Reims, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the coronation church of thirty-three French kings. Beneath its soaring vaults, a thousand years of history unfold — from Clovis to the last Bourbons — bathed in the light of century-old stained-glass windows and Marc Chagall's modern glassworks.
A gastronomic lunch at one of Champagne's most distinguished establishments. Chef Christophe Moret, trained with Alain Ducasse and awarded two Michelin stars, champions a precise neoclassical cuisine, true to local producers and open to Asian influences.

Head to the historic village of Hautvillers, the chosen home of the monk who gave birth to champagne. Visit the Benedictine Abbey where Dom Pérignon worked for nearly half a century, then ascend to the Dom Pérignon Belvedere — an exceptional panoramic view over the endless sea of Champagne hillsides.
